Membership Information

Becoming a L.A.C. member. — one habit you'll want to keep.

So, you’ve decided to take charge of your health and begin an exercise program? Well, here’s one club where you’ll be surrounded by friends and fun.

Smart Start Program

If Smart Start is included as part of your membership, you will have the opportunity to meet with a personal trainer for a fitness consultation and personal training session(s). This valuable introductory package can be added to memberships that do not already include it if purchased at the time of joining. For more information please contact our Fitness Director at Lloyd Athletic Club 503-287-4594.

Fitness Consultation

At the consultation your trainer will answer any questions you may have and will discuss with you your health history and any physical limitations you may have, your exercise history, your current motivation level, what your specific goals are and what your interests are here at the club. This information will then be used to customize a fitness program specifically designed for you with your needs and goals in mind. Our trainers will help you make the best use of your valuable time here at the club to achieve maximum results. This is the best way to get started in the right direction.

Personal Training Session(s)

The group personal training session(s) that follow the consultation are either 2 one hour appointments done in a small group setting or 1 one hour private appointment. During these sessions you will be taken through a full body work out. You will be instructed on various areas of the fitness floor. We will help you find the correct equipment adjustments and settings specifically fit to you. We will also show you the proper form and techniques to prevent injury and gain maximum results.

Senior Orientation

A complimentary one hour orientation with a personal trainer specifically educated in working with seniors. Your trainer will get to know your exercise history first through a health history questionnaire, then consider the motivational techniques required to reach your fitness goals. On the fitness floor they will help you find the correct equipment adjustments and settings specifically fit to you and teach you the proper form and techniques to prevent injury. Our goal is to help you achieve maximum results safely.
