Lloyd Athletic Club will be closed for the upcoming 4th of July!

July 4th was officially established as a federal holiday in the United States on June 28, 1870, with the passage of the Holiday Act by Congress. The act declared that July 4th would be a federal holiday, designating it as a day of national celebration and a day off for federal employees.

At the time of the Holiday Act’s passage, the President of the United States was Ulysses S. Grant.
